What is the difference between "vegan" and "cruelty-free"?Updated 3 hours ago

"Cruelty-free" means that the product and its ingredients were not tested on animals at any stage of development, while "vegan" means that the product does not contain any animal-derived ingredients or by-products. Snail mucin is a by-product of snails, so Red Aspen’s DewRenew™ Snail Mucin Serum is not vegan. However, it is still cruelty-free, as no snails are harmed or tested on in the process of collecting the mucin.
