I'm having a hard time getting my nails to stay on. What's going on?Updated a month ago

Our recommendation? Use plenty of glue and be sure to follow these steps carefully. Some of the most common reasons your Dash may pop off include:

  • Your Dash overlaps onto your skin.

  • Air bubbles in the glue—apply your Dash at a 45-degree angle from your cuticle to avoid this.

  • Your natural nail beds are oily. Don’t forget to thoroughly clean your nails during prep using our Nail Prep Pads and/or Nail Dehydrator.

  • Your natural nails are very smooth. Gently buff your nails during prep to help the glue stick better.

  • You didn't use enough glue. Add a dot of glue to each Dash and the back of your natural nail. Let the glue get tacky for a few seconds, then apply.

  • Press down firmly for at least 30 seconds! The better and longer the pressure, the fewer air bubbles will form, preventing your nail from popping off.

  • You’re hard on your hands. If you garden, lift weights, or play sports like volleyball, opt for the longest glue application method—even if you only plan to wear your Dashes for a few days.
