Open the plastic cover on the side of the pencil sharpener that best matches your pencils diameter. The pink adapter is removable to accommodate jumbo pencils. Move the lever on the side of the sharpener toward the pencil to create a sharp point, and away from the pencil to create a round point. To sharpen, turn the pencil in the direction of the sharp point of the blade. To clean, remove plastic cover and discard pencil shavings, then use the plastic built-in cleaning stick to safely remove any product remnants on the blade.
